Discover the Benefits of Beauty of Joseon Organic Sunscreen Relief Sun for Your Skin

Relief Sun is a lightweight and creamy type organic sunscreen that's comfortable on skin. Even if you apply a large amount several times, it is not sticky and gives a moist finish like that of a light moisturizing cream. Containing 30% rice extract and grain fermented extracts, it provides moisture and nourishment to the skin.

It also contains the following beneficial ingredients:

  • Rice bran water – Rich in vitamins B, C and E, this reduces irritation and calms the skin.

  • Glycerin – A popular humectant that draws moisture into the skin. It’s found in many hydrating skincare products.

  • Niacinamide – A form of vitamin B3 that has anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties.

  • Pumpkin ferment extract – A natural exfoliant that improves skin tone, reduces the appearance of fine lines and helps brighten dark spots.

  • Green tea leaf extract – A plant extract that has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.

  • Tocopherol – Pure form of vitamin E. It aids cellular restoration and protects skin from free radicals.

Lightweight cream texture

It is similar to a light moisturizing cream, and it is not sticky or slippery even if you apply it several times. After absorption, it provides a natural glow without a white cast. Even if you apply a large amount before makeup, it does not clump or get cakey.

Rice extract 30% + Grain fermented extracts

Rice and grain fermented extracts are rich in vitamins B, C, E, amino acids, and minerals which help to moisturize dry skin and comfortably calm the skin. Rice has played a very important role as a staple food and skin care ingredient in Korean history. In the Joseon Dynasty, rice bran water was used like the toner of today, and was called Beauty Water, used for beautiful skin. Rice bran is rich in amino acids and minerals, helping to moisturize dry skin.

SPF & PA Protection

SPF and PA tests were completed in labs in both Korea and Spain, and the results are as followsKorean Lab: SPF 52.5±5.8 / PA UVA PF 16.1±2.4 P++++Spain Lab: SPF 63.1±0.6 / PA UVA PF 19 P++++

What are the standout ingredients?

The Beauty of Joseon sun cream contains four UV filters which each provide different levels of protection:

  • Uvinal T 150 – Protects against UVB rays.

  • Uvinal A Plus – Protects against UVA rays.

  • Tinosorb M – Protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

  • Iscotrizinol – Protects against UVB and some UVA rays.

How should you use this product?

This should be the last step of your skincare routine, so only apply it once you’ve cleansed, toned and moisturised. I know some people like to use an SPF in place of a moisturiser but I prefer to moisturise before using this sun cream.

When it comes to applying, squeeze two finger lengths of product out of the tube, then gently rub it into your face, ears and neck.

The Final Score

pretty impressed by the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, especially given the price – this is one of the most budget friendly Korean sunscreens I’ve come across. It ticks practically all the right boxes for me, though if I had to give one criticism I’d like this sunscreen to be a little more moisturising. My skin can sometimes feel a little dry by the end of the day when I wear this (not because of the sunscreen, that’s just how my skin is!) so I do tend to reach for more hydrating formulas. If your skin is in the middle of the range, not overly dry and not overly oily, then I can see this working really well!
